When it comes to running a charity we do our utmost to ensure that every penny donated to us counts.
Community Fundraising for those Living with & affected by HIV and the LGBTQ+ Community
On average, for every £1 Renaissance UK raises within the local community, 50p goes directly to support those living with and/or affected by HIV in times of crisis, as well as supporting other health and wellbeing infinitives for those individuals that we support and the LGBTQ+ Community Projects that we deliver in Blackpool.
40p in every £1 raised goes towards strengthening our HIV Prevention Work across all of our funded areas.
10p in every £1 goes on general charity running costs. Charities including ourselves have all be affected by the cost of living impact and in order to effectively run our services, support our staff and volunteers and ensure we operate legally and transparently with our accounts and external auditors, it is necessary for us to attribute a small portion of the funds we raise to support with the costs that incur from running a charity in the UK in 2024.
Direct Donations to Renaissance UK
When someone makes a direct donation to Renaissance UK, 75p in every £1 goes directly to the project or service that the donation was made to. Whether that be our work with LGBTQ+ Communities in Blackpool, our Sex Worker Support, or our Revolution HIV Services and Hardship Fund in all our funded areas.
The remaining 25p is attributed to Charity Running Costs, which keeps Renaissance UK alive.
For donations over £500, We do our best to communicate with the donor and discuss with them how they would like to see their donation spent and will take guidance from the donor as to which area of the charity is directly supported by their donation.
