About Us

Renaissance UK is a North West based charity, currently operating across Lancashire, Blackpool and Blackburn
with Darwen.

We specialise in community focused substance use and sexual health services.

Founded in 1986, by Kathryn Talboys, we started as a drugs helpline in Lancashire with funding from Child Action North West, over the years we have expanded and restructured, responding to the needs of our beneficiaries.

Currently, we work across three local authorities delivering harm reduction, assertive outreach, community based sexual health services as well as volunteering opportunities, health education and training.

We work with a wide range of communities across our funded areas, focusing on those who traditional services have failed to engage.

Our Mission

Renaissance UK exists to support people at every stage of their journey by providing community-focused sexual health, harm reduction, outreach, LGBTQ+ and drug and alcohol services that meet people where they are.

Our Vision

A world with empowered individuals, building stronger and healthier communities and reducing the risk of harm.

    The options of support were great. They directed me to counselling sessions that have been hugely beneficial and greatly appreciated.
