The Staff, Volunteers and Council of Management would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy Christmas and a Safe New Year. Message from the Directors of Renaissance UK Christmas is a time of year to cherish loved ones, maybe do something a little extra for someone, we believe Christmas is not about presents (although they are nice to give and receive) but about presence, giving time and support where it’s needed. At Ren-UK we recognise Christmas can be a difficult time of year for many. 2023 has been a year of challenge, the cost of living crisis continues to impact the people we support, our staff and volunteer teams, our partners and the wider community, charities have been hit hard with rising costs and tighter budgets, however at Ren-UK, we see a bright future for all. 2024 will see us entering our 38th year of delivery, we will be looking at new opportunities for growth and hope to be successful in retaining all of our current contracts. The team at Ren-UK have continued to shine throughout 2023, we are happy to report our Horizon staff team has grown throughout the year, this through our work with partners at Delphi Medical and the amazing OASIS project which supports individuals in Blackpool facing multiple disadvantages. Our Horizon Harm Reduction and Assertive Outreach offer has expanded with new team members and a refreshed focus, the team who have been established for over ten years now continue to support those who face barriers to accessing treatment in any way they can, we are extremely proud to deliver such a vital service for Blackpool. Our HIV prevention and Support teams along with our Sexual Health outreach teams have diversified throughout the year to meet community needs and gaps in service across Lancashire, Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen, we are very excited to enter 2024 with an established staff team and will look to further expand this service. We wish our Ren team (past and present), our Volunteers, our partners, funders and the people we support a Very Happy and Safe Christmas, our Outreach teams will be working over the Festive Period should you need support.
