In Conjunction with Blackpool Sexual Health Services, HORIZON Have launched the M2M Clinic to appeal to those that do not wish to, or cannot attend services at their local sexual health clinic. Non clinical sexual health practitioners have been assessed for competence by clinical staff from Blackpool Teaching Hospitals and are now able to fully facilitate asymptomatic** screening for prolific sexually transmitted infections within the setting of HORIZON Dickson Road.
Those attending the clinic can speak to a practitioner in confidence and obtain screening for Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, Syphilis and HIV. All these tests are none evasive and comprise of a small finger prick blood test, Urine sample and throat swab***.
Syphilis and HIV Results are instant and support is available immediately in the case of any reactive results.
Other results are available in 10 days.
The clinic is open to anyone over the age of 18, that identifies as Male and has at anytime engaged in sexual activity with another male.
You do not have to identify as Gay or Bisexual to attend the clinic
Practitioners can also give advice on safer sex, risk taking behaviours, PreP, LGB&T and ChemSex Support
Free literature, Free Condoms and Lube are also available.
- * Last appointment is 7.45pm, Clinic will be closed during public holidays
- ** Asymptomatic screening only at this clinic. Anyone presenting with symptoms will be refereed to NHS clinical services.
- *** Anal swab may be required in some cases. This will only ever be carried out by the patient as a self swab.
